Golden Globes 2011

Being a fashion blogger who cares 0% about entertainment (maybe because I work in it?) lends to a lack of talking mad shit about celebrity fashion.  This is a bad thing, and I am going to do my best to talk more shit about celebrities in 2011, guys.  *raises fist in triumph*

So the Golden Globes happened sometime not too long ago or something, and I finally saw the "fashion".  Goddamn what a boring lot of suits and dresses, dude.  I almost fell asleep 5 actors in.  With that being said, there were people I thought looked "pretty good".  Usually at an awards show you'll have at least one favorite dress or a "great" fashion moment...not this year.  I know we're in a recession, famous people, but like, you don't have to dress so depressingly.

And now, the PRETTY GOODS!

Fabric: good.  Taking chances on huge, detailed collar: good.

I. Love. Boobies.  Since I think Eva's husband was caught boning a bunch of skeezers, she's allowed to throw her tits out and wear a mermaid tail.

Boobs, again.  I like the cut and color, although it's a little "Persian Prom" to me.  Who is this, anyway?

The fact Leighton Meester is wearing one of my 'favorite' looks of the night says something...and that something isn't good.

Points for color and the balls to wear a cap sleeve.

Studies show 90% of women think Mandy Moore is "nice" and would be cool to "hang out with". True story.  Anyway, I like this dress.  Blue is my color for 2011 and the detail on this is really effortlessly pretty.

No lie: I always think Claire Danes looks pretty goddamn good.  She learned (or hired someone who learned) how to dress her difficult but attractive body-type (lean, long torso) and she always picks flattering cuts and colors for her physique and skin tone.

Gotta say it: favorite look of the show.  Sandy's new saucy bangs really do it for me, and the balance between the saucy hair and the delicate gown is great.  Soft pink with silver sparkles on a woman with Sandy's angular face works well.

Oh, Tina.  You brilliant woman with an inner grandma.  I like this granny choice.  Color on her is lovely.

Anne Hathaway is gorrrrrgeous.  Can't deny that.  Her body is also lovely, and this dress really shows it off without being skanky.  It's kind of the better version of Angelina's green dress.  The nude color is really tasteful, which is nice.  The only drawback here is Anne just always looks so...boring.  She actually does wear some pretty forward, avant garde shit, but she's kind of like yogurt: add her into the mix and the "BAM!" factor goes down 10 notches.  Whatever.  Dress is still cool.
